The variety is a traditional Bulgarian variety, bred and maintained at the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute. It is characterized as mid-early with a growing season of about 80–85 days and is suitable for cultivation both via seedlings and by direct sowing in the ground.

The fruits have a rounded shape and a dark green rind color with characteristic marble stripes. The fruit flesh is red, juicy, and sweet. The average fruit weight is 4–6 kg; under certain conditions, it is possible to obtain fruits weighing 8–10 kg.
