The plant is vigorous, with good foliage cover and high fruit setting ability. When grown on its own roots, fruit weight is 3.5–5 kg. The rind is dark, striped, and attractive in appearance.
The flesh is bright red, crisp, and aromatic, containing a very small amount of small seeds. The produce is characterized by a long shelf life. When using grafting, it is possible to grow it as a midi-watermelon in later planting periods.
