The hybrid Santa Vittoria F1 is a vigorous plant with strong vines, intended for open field and protected cultivation. The fruits have a round or round-oval shape, with an average weight of 10–12 kg. The flesh is characterized by a deep red color, a crispy texture, and a high sugar content, reaching 11.0 on the Brix scale.

The traditional variety Santa Vittoria is an old local population from the Reggio Emilia province. It is an energetic vining plant, historically adapted to the specific clay soils of this area and intended for local consumption.
