The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Citrus clementina and Citrus paradisi. The main goal of breeding was to obtain fruits with improved biochemical characteristics, in particular a reduction in the level of furanocoumarins, which are responsible for the negative interaction of the juice with medicinal drugs.
The fruits of the hybrid are characterized by an early maturity period, as well as a reduced content of naringin and total acidity. Data on the growth characteristics of the plant and disease resistance are absent in the publications.
