Variety description

The plant reaches 3–4.5 meters in height and width. The leaves have a bright green center with a wide golden-yellow margin, which eventually lightens to a creamy-white color. Young leaves may have a reddish-pink tint; autumn coloration varies from purple-red to apricot.
Flowers are white, gathered in flat corymbose inflorescences; flowering occurs in May–June. The plant requires cool, moist, well-drained soils with an acidic reaction. It prefers partial shade, as leaves may scorch in direct sun, while in deep shade they lose the brightness of their coloration.
