The variety is breeding material obtained by crossing the Israeli BIZ line with a disease-resistant analogue. The primary role of the line is to provide genetic resistance to the pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis, race 1,2.
The plant is used in breeding programs as a rootstock to protect susceptible melon varieties from Fusarium wilt. Detailed agronomic characteristics typical of commercial varieties are not available in open sources for this line.
