The Aurabel melon belongs to the Charentais-type group of varieties. Fruits of this type are characterized by a round shape, often the presence of weakly expressed segments on the rind, a pronounced aroma, and juicy and sweet flesh.
In international classification, the variety is described as having medium-sized fruits. The hybrid was intended for professional commercial cultivation.
The variety was included in the official Common Catalogue of Varieties of Agricultural Plant Species of the EU, however, it currently has the status of removed from circulation.
