The variety «Biga» is recorded in registries as a breeding product, however, in official testing guidelines, it appears primarily as a reference object. In particular, in UPOV documentation, the fruits of this variety are described as having shallow grooves.

There is a possibility of confusion between this breeding variety and local Turkish landraces from the Biga province. Detailed data on yield, maturity dates, and resistance of the variety from the company Semillas Fito are not presented in the public domain.
