The Ferreira melon variety belongs to the Branco type and forms oval-shaped fruits with firm flesh. The plant has an open habit and medium-length vines, which is adapted for open field conditions.

The variety has resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fom pathogen race 0,2) and powdery mildew (Gc and Px pathogen races 1, 2, 3).
