The Incas F1 hybrid belongs to the botanical group Cucumis melo L. var. inodorus and is characterized by a long shelf life. The fruits have firm, sweet, white or greenish flesh and a specific cucumber aroma that distinguishes them from Ananas type melons.

The variety is late-maturing and is often used in scientific research as a control sample or rootstock. Literature records trials of the hybrid for resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis) and gummy stem blight (Didymella bryoniae).
