Variety description

The variety is classified as early and high-yielding. The plant is capable of reaching a length of 2–3 meters and can be cultivated both in a trailing form and on a trellis. The variety is demanding of heat, high-quality irrigation, and soil fertility, while being sensitive to cold exposure.

The fruits have an elongated shape, are thin, and are colored an intense green. The surface of the fruits is densely covered with small spines in the form of stiff hairs. The flesh is firm and crunchy. Upon full maturity, the color of the fruits changes to yellow-brown.

The primary purpose of the variety is the harvest of young fruits 5–10 cm in length for pickling. Upon reaching full biological maturity, the fruits can be used as slicing cucumbers. The variety is an old folk selection and does not possess the characteristics of modern F1 hybrids regarding fruit uniformity or specific genetic resistance.
