The Azabache F1 hybrid belongs to the European long-fruited type. The fruit length averages about 33 cm. The plant is characterized by cold tolerance and is intended for cultivation in greenhouse conditions, primarily in the regions of Southern Europe.

The hybrid possesses resistance to a number of diseases, including leaf spot and Cucumber vein yellowing virus. Resistance to scab is also noted.
