Bastion F1 is an indeterminate vigorous hybrid with a strong root system. The period from germination to the onset of fruiting is 40–45 days. The plant is characterized by a bouquet type of ovary arrangement, in which up to 6 ovaries can form in one node.

The fruits have an elongated shape, a mass from 90 to 160 g and a length of 12–16 cm. The surface is tuberculate with white spines; the flesh is firm and juicy, without voids. The hybrid is resistant to Cladosporium cucumerinum and powdery mildew, and shows tolerance to downy mildew and cucumber mosaic virus.

The hybrid is intended for cultivation in film greenhouses and under temporary covers in spring-summer and summer-autumn crop rotations. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and pickling, are resistant to yellowing and transport well.
