Carminara is an early-maturing parthenocarpic open-habit hybrid. The fruits are of the tubercular gherkin type, 12–16 cm in length, have a medium to dark green color, and are genetically devoid of bitterness and voids.

The plant possesses high shade tolerance, is adapted to early planting dates, and is distinguished by good yield performance. The hybrid is resistant to olive spot (Cladosporium cucumerinum) and cucumber mosaic virus. Intended for cultivation in protected ground.
