The Champion F1 hybrid is characterized by a period from emergence to fruiting of 45 to 55 days. The plant has a female flowering type and forms 2–4 ovaries per node. The fruits have a dark green color with short light stripes; their length is 10–12 cm with a weight of 75–110 g.

The gherkins have dense, crunchy flesh without bitterness. The hybrid is resistant to a number of diseases and adverse growing conditions and is suitable both for fresh consumption and for all types of preservation. In international breeding, there are also separate varieties Bush Champion and Spartan Champion, which have different characteristics.
