Gergana is a traditional open-pollinated variety, not an F1 hybrid. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth, with vine length reaching 2–3 meters. The variety is suitable for cultivation both in open field and in plastic greenhouses, requiring fertile soil and regular irrigation.

The fruits have a cylindrical shape and reach a length of 25–35 cm. The skin is glossy, dark green, and the surface is smooth or with delicate rippling. The fruit flesh is sweetish, tender, and not prone to bitterness. The variety has tolerance to Cucumber mosaic virus and moderate susceptibility to powdery mildew.
