Kaliopa F1 belongs to a group of small-fruited varieties intended for pickling and canning. The hybrid was created within a breeding program for the development of heterotic forms using maternal lines with a female type of flowering (gynoecious).
The variety possesses pronounced resistance to powdery mildew, which distinguishes it from a number of other varieties susceptible to this disease. Detailed morphological parameters of the plant are absent in open scientific publications.
