The variety belongs to the group of pickling cucumbers of the gherkin or small-warted type. The fruits develop in clusters and are characterized by quality suitable for culinary use, in particular for lactic acid fermentation during pickling.

The variety is classified as a traditional or heirloom variety compared to modern F1 hybrids. In comparison with new hybrids, it may exhibit greater sensitivity to external conditions and diseases, such as downy mildew.
