The variety is an heirloom Asian-type plant, known since the 1860s. It is a vigorous vining plant, which is equally suitable for cultivation in open field and protected cultivation.

The fruits have a bright green color and a slightly ribbed surface. When grown on a trellis, the length of the cucumbers can vary from 50 cm to 1 meter. Without the use of supports, the fruits are prone to deformation, so staking is a necessary condition of agronomy.

The variety is intended primarily for fresh consumption. Under unfavorable growing conditions or irregular pollination, the fruits may lose their regular shape.
