The Russian hybrid «Marta F1» is a parthenocarpic variety with female flowering type, intended for greenhouses and open field. The gherkins are characterized by a tuberculate surface, white pubescence, and a length of 15–20 cm; the fruits are suitable for pickling and canning. The plant possesses resistance to cucumber mosaic virus and olive spot (Cladosporium cucumerinum).

In European countries, seeds of long-fruited salad cucumbers for protected cultivation are released under the name «Marta F1». These hybrids form smooth or slightly ribbed fruits reaching 30–40 cm in length.
