The variety is a climbing plant intended for cultivation in protected ground. Its introduction was a significant milestone in cucumber breeding, allowing for a substantial increase in yield due to the flowering type.

The fruits are characterized by a thin skin. In official breeding protocols, this hybrid is used as a standard susceptible variety when testing plants for resistance to Cladosporium cucumerinum.

In modern practice, the variety is considered obsolete and has been almost completely replaced by new hybrids that possess higher resistance to a wide spectrum of fungal diseases.
