Variety description

10 August 2026

Sonate F1 is an early-maturing hybrid with a fruiting period beginning 40–45 days after germination. The plant possesses vigorous growth and a well-developed root system. The cylindrical-shaped gherkins reach a length of 8–10 cm, have a light green color, a coarsely tubercled surface with white spines, and firm, crunchy flesh without bitterness.

The hybrid possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and Cladosporium cucumerinum, and also exhibits tolerance to downy mildew and cucumber mosaic virus. The plant is adapted to environmental stress factors, such as drought and temperature fluctuations, and is capable of fruiting until frosts.

The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field, including as a sprawling crop, but is also suitable for plastic greenhouses. The fruits have a universal purpose, retaining their commercial and taste qualities during transportation and processing, particularly for salting and pickling.
