The Žalsviai F1 variety is an interline hybrid, created in 1992 based on parent lines 695 and 197.

In scientific literature, this hybrid is more often mentioned in the context of breeding developments by the Institute of Horticulture and Vegetable Growing in Babtai, as well as an object in plant virology studies, including the study of the cucumber mosaic virus.
