The variety forms compact bush plants, which is reflected in the Italian name «ad alberello», meaning «in the shape of a small tree». The leaves have a characteristic incised shape with gray spots.
The cylindrical fruits reach a length of about 20 cm. They are distinguished by firm white flesh with a delicate texture and are recommended for culinary processing, including grilling.
