The GL Venus variety is an oilseed pumpkin hybrid and in agronomic literature is considered part of the Gleisdorfer Ölkürbis type group, intended for oil and seed production. Despite its inclusion in vegetable crop catalogs, it is not a zucchini for consumption at the technical maturity stage.

The primary purpose of the variety is industrial cultivation for harvesting seeds, typical of the Styrian tradition. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant and data on disease resistance or yield are not available in open sources.
