The variety is classified as a hybrid of the Marvella group. The fruits have a slightly greenish shade, being lighter in color than the Clarita variety. Disease resistance is not officially stated.

The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, boiling, baking, frying, and use in salads. The name Lita can also be used as a collective term for various light green Middle Eastern type zucchinis.
