The variety forms a vigorous, dense-leaved bush with a characteristic marble pattern on the leaves. The period from germination to the beginning of fruit harvest is 40–48 days. It is recommended to harvest fruits 12–20 cm in length, although they can reach 35–45 cm.

The fruits have an elongated cylindrical shape and a pleasant nutty flavor profile. The plant is characterized as robust and reliable, while the variety is an heirloom and retains its traits when seeds are saved. It is used for a wide range of culinary processing, including preservation.
