Vortex F1 belongs to the "Caserta" type, which is characterized by gray fruits with light stripes. The shape of the fruits is cylindrical-club-shaped, with a length of 14–16 cm. A distinctive feature is the firm attachment of the flower to the fruit.

The plant has a compact and open habit, which simplifies harvesting. The hybrid is characterized by intermediate resistance to Zucchini yellow mosaic virus, powdery mildew, and Cucumber mosaic virus.
