The plant is of the vining type, with vine lengths reaching 3–4 meters. The fruits have a round shape and a characteristic "rough" or lace-like netting on the surface of the rind. The average fruit weight is 2.5–3 kg.

The flesh is yellow-orange in color, possesses a delicate, velvety texture and a pronounced sweet taste. The variety is traditionally used for making purees, soups, and pumpkin pies. The fruits are suitable for decorative use, however, they have a relatively limited shelf life compared to other winter pumpkins.
