Variety description

The tree has a pyramidal crown shape with graceful drooping branches. Lateral shoots are located almost at a right angle to the trunk, while second and third-order shoots hang down. The needles are scale-like and variegated in color: creamy yellow spots and sectors are located on a lush green background, becoming brighter toward autumn.
The variety is slow-growing: at ten years of age, it reaches 2–2.5 m in height and 1.5 m in width; adult specimens can grow up to 5–10 meters. The plant is frost-hardy (zone 5b), resistant to Verticillium wilt and moderate droughts, but is sensitive to air pollution.
After the winter period, the dying off and shedding of creamy needle fragments is a natural process. The culture is recommended for solitary plantings, contrasting garden compositions, and the creation of hedges.
