The variety forms compact, almost globose heads with a characteristic depression in the upper part. The bracts are green with purple veins, and the central part of the bud can reach a weight of up to 300 grams.
The plant forms solitary heads on thick stems of medium or large length. The absence of thorns and internal fibers significantly simplifies culinary processing of the product.
