The carrot variety (hybrid) Buror is used in international agronomic research as a reference specimen. In testing methodology documents, the variety is used to evaluate the presence of anthocyanin coloration of the root crop shoulder skin, which is present in this hybrid.

In scientific literature, Buror is mentioned as a variety exhibiting post-attachment resistance to the parasitic plant Orobanche, where the parasite dies after attaching to the root. The variety is characterized as early and suitable for cultivation in protected ground.
