The variety is an eco-population, the result of long-term traditional cultivation in the regions of Croatia without the involvement of professional breeders. The plant is not intended for intensive industrial production and requires monitoring of line purity, as it is prone to cross-pollination with wild carrots, which leads to the appearance of tough white root crops.
