Kalina F1 carrot is classified primarily as a very early hybrid with a vegetation period of about 80 days, however, there are descriptions of mid-late forms with a ripening period of 115–125 days. The root crops have a cylindrical or slightly conical shape, their length varies from 15–20 cm for early versions to 28 cm for late versions, with a fruit weight from 120 to 350 g.

The flesh of the root crops is characterized by juiciness, a sweet taste and a small core, the color varies from intense orange to red-orange. Early forms have limited keeping quality of up to 3–4 months, while late ones are suitable for long-term storage.

The plant is demanding of soil, preferring light, moist, and humus-rich soils. The application of fresh manure is not recommended, as this leads to deformation of the root crops.
