The name «Maxi» is most often used as a marketing designation for an increased volume of seed packaging. Inside such packets, there may be different varieties, for example, «Artek» or «Slastena», the characteristics of which are determined by their own varietal features and not by the word «Maxi».
There is also an Amsterdam 2 Maxi variety, belonging to the «Amsterdam» or «baby carrot» type. It is an early-ripening carrot forming slender cylindrical root crops with a blunt tip, a thin core, and tender flesh, intended for obtaining early bunching produce.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
