Varieties of the Nantaise améliorée group are early or mid-season, with a vegetation period of 90 to 120 days. The roots reach 15–20 cm in length, have a cylindrical shape, a smooth surface, a bright orange color, and a small, tender core.

Plants reach a height of 20–30 cm. The variety is versatile, suitable for summer and autumn cultivation, fresh consumption, juice production, and winter storage. The crop requires light, well-tilled soils without stones for the formation of uniform roots.
