The roots have an elongated cylindrical shape and golden-yellow color, while the entire plant can reach 40–50 cm in height. The foliage of the variety is distinguished by its strength and health.

The variety is versatile: it is suitable both for summer consumption with early sowing and for cultivation as a late-maturing crop. The roots have good keeping quality and are suitable for storage until spring. The variety is considered undemanding and resistant to pests when overwintering in the soil.

The taste characteristics are described as an intense carrot flavor, less sweet compared to modern orange varieties. It is traditionally used in soups, stews, and other braised dishes, as well as raw.
