The variety is a mutation (sport) of the Delphinium Plagu Blue. The flowers are simple, colored in purple-dark-blue-violet (RHS code N088A). The diameter of a single flower is 4–4.5 cm.

The plant forms racemose inflorescences about 68 cm long. The leaves are dark green, palmate-lobed. Stem height varies from 50–60 cm to 1.5 m depending on growing conditions.
