The variety is an upright plant 20 to 60 cm in height with fleshy or lanceolate leaves 8–10 cm in size. Flower stalks develop from internodes; the flowers have a characteristic butterfly shape and two-colored coloration.

Under indoor cultivation conditions, flowering of the variety is typically observed in the period from March to May. The plant is used exclusively as a potted decorative crop for interior decoration.
