Deutzia gracilis is a dense bushy shrub with dark green leaves. At the age of 10 years, the plant reaches a height and width of about 1 meter, although parameters up to 1.5 meters are allowed for the species in general. Flowering occurs in May and is characterized by particular abundance.
The plant needs a location protected from strong cold; in regions with severe winters, shelter may be required. Due to its compact size, the shrub is suitable for cultivation in small gardens, on terraces, in containers, and in rock gardens.
