The plant is a perennial with a compact, mounding bush form 20–30 cm in height. The foliage is evergreen, gray-green in color. The flowers are double, bright violet-blue with a darker purple center and petal edging, and possess a strong fragrance.
The variety is remontant: the first flowering occurs in early spring; if faded inflorescences are removed, repeat flowering is possible in summer and autumn. The plant is characterized by high frost resistance (USDA zones 4–9) and resistance to adverse weather conditions.
The variety is used in landscape design for borders, rock gardens, and mass plantings, and is also suitable for container cultivation. It is suitable for cutting, however, its primary purpose is ornamental garden use.
