The Baraugier variety (also known as Madame Augier) belongs to the standard single-headed carnation type. The flowers are fully double, with a pale orange base color and a narrow pinkish-red border along the edges of the petals. Occasionally, short streaks or spots of a similar shade may be present on the petals. The petal edges have distinct serrations.
The plant is intended for professional cut flower cultivation. The variety was developed in Italy; information regarding its parent lines is unknown.
