The Barsemi variety (trade name Yasmina) is a cut flower carnation with double flowers containing from 57 to 85 petals with serrated edges. Petal color varies from light to deep purple-pink tones, aroma is weak. In greenhouse conditions, stem height is approximately 45 cm.
The plant possesses moderate resistance to Fusarium wilt. The variety was obtained by crossing two breeding seedlings and was subsequently used in the development of new carnation varieties.
