The "Bianca" variety from the originator Hilverda B.V. belongs to cut carnations. 1994 studies note the high vase life of this variety, which lasts up to 8 days.
The name "Bianca" has historically been used for a multitude of different carnation varieties, including breeding developments of the 19th century. In modern classification, the Dianthus Sunflor Bianca pot series with the breeding index Kobianca is also found under this name, which differs significantly from the classic cut flower crop.
