The Bonita variety belongs to the spray carnation group. The plant forms fully double inflorescences. The flower color is presented by an orange background, on which red stripes and streaks are located. The edges of the petals have moderate or deep serration.
The origin of the parental forms of this variety is unknown. In modern floral catalogs, a close trade name "Lady Bonita" is encountered, however, there is no unambiguous confirmation whether it is a synonym for the "Bonita" variety or a separate commercial name.
