The variety belongs to the standard carnation group and is characterized by a dark red petal color.
During variety trials, Lonpiro showed high overall productivity, however, the percentage of first-quality flowers proved to be relatively low. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as plant height or disease resistance, are not recorded in the publications.
