The MANUELA variety (code LIMANUE) is a standard type of carnation intended for greenhousecut flower production. The variety is often used in scientific research on plant physiology, endopolyploidy, and flowering processes.
Morphologically, the variety is characterized by large flowers. In the course of experiments assessing cut flower quality, a flower diameter of up to 8.22 cm was recorded with a bud length of 4.10 cm.
