The NEW ELSY variety, also known under the registration code Lonnesy, is a representative of the spray carnation group. A distinctive feature of this group is the formation of several buds on one stem, unlike standard single-flower varieties.
The plant has red flowers. The variety was mentioned in studies on the resistance of carnation to the pathogen Fusarium oxysporum, however, detailed quantitative characteristics of height, productivity, and maturity dates are not presented in open sources.
