The variety has dark purple flowers with a pronounced dark center. The leaf blade is small, colored in shades from dark green to bluish.

The plant has good branching. The commercial name of the variety is Dianthalot™ Pink + Star, and it is also associated with the sel® Pillow variety series, which includes perennial forms with a carpet-type growth habit.
