Variety description

The Mansis-Sissy variety is a tall cut flower carnation with an upright growth habit. The plant has dark green stems of medium thickness with long internodes exceeding 12 cm. The small double flowers with a diameter of 5–6 cm have a dark orange-red color and a nodding form, and the rounded petals are distinguished by deep serrations along the edges. Flowering is early, the fragrance is weak.
The modern variety Dia Deur Sissy is a compact potted carnation used as an ornamental perennial for containers, rock gardens, and borders. The plant reaches 15–25 cm in height and forms dense cushions of narrow glaucous-green leaves. It blooms from June to September with double or semi-double pink flowers with fringed petal edges, which possess a pronounced spicy fragrance. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness.
